Meg in Europe

Made it to London and started the trip off with some city walking and good food trying to get adjusted! We visited the notorious sites like the London Bridge, Big Ben, and Buckingham House. We also visited two construction sites for the new HS2 railway system that is currently under work for the first time in over a century. It’s the most expensive construction project happening in Europe and incorporates several different teams and trade partners. I haven’t seen a lot of urban construction, so this was really interesting to see not only that difference, but also general differences in European sites on such a massive scale. On one of the sites they have fully suit up in iridescent, orange pants, jackets, hard hat, safety, glasses, gloves, and boots they all had prepared for us.  We also did some shopping in this pop-up market in London that has so many cute unique pieces and trinkets. We went to a rugby game, which was super entertaining. Also the arsenal game was going on that day, so the streets were filled. People were loud. They were cans everywhere chanting, and parades. It was one of the biggest spectacles I’ve ever seen.  one of the last nights in London the girls went to Mamma Mia, which was an incredible performance, super lively, and a great way to spend a night.
