We spent the first days of our Normandy stretch visiting the beaches and important historical sites of D-day. There were beautiful memorials spread all across the coast and it was extremely sobering to hear so many stories of soldiers who gave their lives for the protection of freedom. We visited bunkers, cemeteries, bridges, and museums all centered around the military operation and the people involved.
